Welcome “Sa Pagbangon kay Yolanda…

Greetings! The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD, DOST) in partnership with the Institute of Philippine Culture, Ateneo de Manila University (IPC, ADMU) re-launched the Philippine Electronic Health Information Village, or eHealth Philippines last 2012.

EHealth Philippines (http://www.ehealth.ph) is an internet-linked community where people can
interact with each other on specific health issues, topics and at the same time have access to the
specialty database, journal articles advisories and directory type information.

One of the activities of the eHealth PH project is the conduct of online conferences on current and
emerging health issues. This coming 31 March 2014 from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm, we will be holding an online conference titled, “Sa Pagbangon kay Yolanda:Paanong Ibabangon ang Programang
Pangkalusugan?” organized by eHealth Philippines in partnership with Sarilaya and HealthJustice. The community forum will discuss health and disaster work during rehabilitation and reconstruction phase using the principle “building back better”.

This online conference is a follow-up discussion to the eHealth.PH online discussion on “Health and Disaster Work in Complex Emergencies”http://www.ehealth.ph/index.php/forum/health-di…-complex-emergencies. We hope the topics and information gathered from this earlier online discussion serve as useful inputs to the current online conference.
